How to change the location of just one library or all libraries in Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol and Native Access.This tutorial looks at two scenarios. This video explains how to move a Native Instruments product to another location on your computer.This feature is available on Mac OS X 10.10 (and higher) an.

Note: If you wish to set up a KONTAKT Library provided by Native Instruments instead, read this article.

KONTAKT allows you to add third-party Powered By KONTAKT Libraries to the Browser. These libraries can also be used with the free KONTAKT Player. Please check the third-party manufacturer's product page to find out if your Library is Powered By KONTAKT.

Note: Third-party KONTAKT Libraries that do not have a serial number cannot be added to KONTAKT's Library Browser. Please use the Quick-Load Catalog to organise these libraries, as explained in this video.

Dec 03, 2020 If you cannot find a library’s content folder, double-check Native Access’ default install locations for Windows (C: Users Public Documents) or macOS (Macintosh HD Users Shared). If the library is there, move the folder to the Content location directory we just updated and then refresh Native Access.

Please choose from the following chapters:

1. Setting Up an Already Registered Third Party Library

  1. Launch Native Access from the following location:
    • Mac: Macintosh HD > Applications > Native Access
    • Windows: C: > Program Files > Native Instruments > Native Access
  2. Install the latest version of KONTAKT or KONTAKT Player, if available.
  3. In the tab Not installed, find the Library that you want to set up and click ADD LIBRARY:
  4. Click the BROWSE button:
  5. Navigate to the Library folder. In our example we are adding Rhythmology by Sample Logic. Confirm your selection by clicking Select Folder.
  6. Click INSTALL to finish the set up process.
  7. Open KONTAKT. The Library box will now appear in the Libraries Tab:

2. Setting Up a New Third Party KONTAKT Library

  1. Download and unzip the third party KONTAKT Library.

    Note: If you have questions about downloading and unzipping the Library, please contact the Library's manufacturer support.

  2. Launch Native Access from the following location:
    • Mac: Macintosh HD > Applications > Native Access
    • Windows: C: > Program Files > Native Instruments > Native Access
  3. Install the latest update of KONTAKT or KONTAKT Player, if available.
  4. Click Add a serial:
  5. Add the serial of your Library and click the ADD SERIAL button:
  6. Click the BROWSE button:
  7. Navigate to the Library folder. In our example we are adding EXHALE by Output. Confirm your selection by clicking Select Folder.
  8. Click INSTALL to finish the set up process.
  9. Open KONTAKT. The Library box will now appear in the Libraries Tab:
